Portfolio

Twenty-plus years of building things — from SolidWorks models and multi-axis CNC parts to switchgear, full custom kitchens, and a motorcycle. The background is on the about page; this is the work.

Design & CAD

Mechanical modeling in SolidWorks — robotic assemblies, rotary tooling, and flow components. Concept modeling through fixture design, GD&T, and CAM programming for the shop floor.

Tools: SolidWorks · AutoCAD · Creo · Catia · VCarve Pro · Mastercam · Esprit

Machined parts & fabrication

UL-certified switchgear

Designed and assembled UL-certified switchgear at E & I Engineering — from panel layout to bus-bar detailing.

Custom cabinetry

A decade owning and running Borton Custom Woodworking (2001–2011) — full kitchens designed, built, and installed. Teams of up to 10, multiple projects running at once, and a 5′ × 10′ CNC router programmed in VCarve. This is the craftsmanship the engineering career was built on.

Custom motorcycle build

Capstone project at Tri-County Technical College — modeled in Creo, machined on Haas mills and lathes. I served as the classroom project manager for the build.

Certifications & training

Manufacturer-led training across CAM programming, CNC turning, robotics, and sheet-metal fabrication.

Academic recognition

AAS in Engineering Graphics, Tri-County Technical College, 2012 — graduated with honors, then came back as an adjunct instructor teaching CNC programming, GD&T, and CAD/CAM.
